We’re thrilled to announce, Dr. Lisa Knapp has joined UVS’ Emergency Team. Dr. Knapp received her doctor of veterinary medicine from Tufts University in 2012. Prior to joining UVS, Dr. Knapp was a Senior Emergency Clinician at the Veterinary Medical Center of CNY for eight years. Dr. Amanda Little Joins our Emergency Team

We’re excited to announce, Dr. Amanda Little is joining our emergency team. Dr.  Little attended Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science in 2009 and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Following her doctorate, Dr. Little pursued a 13-month, small-animal medicine and surgery internship with Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. We are happy to announce Dr. Kimberly Cleveland joined our Emergency Team in January 2020. Dr. Kimberly Cleveland was born and raised in Endicott, NY just outside Binghamton. In 2012, she attended Binghamton University for her undergraduate degree in integrative neuroscience and mathematics. In 2014, Dr. Cleveland completed a small animal externship through the Veterinary Orthopedic Sports Medicine Group in Annapolis Junction, Maryland where she rotated through surgery, neurology, and administration. We are pleased to announce the addition of Oncology to our growing list specialties. Ariana Verrilli, DVM (practice limited to Oncology) has started taking appointments last month. Dr. Verrilli obtained her Bachelors of Science in biology and chemistry from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Dr. Rachel Hannum was born in Albany, GA and grew up in Georgia and Northern Virginia. The move to a new 23,000 square foot hospital on December 16th will allow for the expansion of some specialties and the addition of a 24 hour emergency service at Upstate Veterinary Specialties.  The Cardiology Department, the service upon which UVS was founded is also growing to meet the increased demand for advanced cardiovascular disease diagnostics and therapies in the Capital District and beyond.
