Tess McAneny, DVM

Dr. Tess McAneny attended SUNY Cobleskill in Cobleskill, NY, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science in 2016. After graduating, Tess worked as an emergency assistant at Upstate Veterinary Specialties for three years, where her passion for emergency veterinary medicine grew. She then pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, and graduated in 2022.

In July 2022, Dr. McAneny returned to the United States for a one-year rotating internship at Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME. After finishing her internship, she stayed on there as an Emergency Veterinarian for two years. In September 2025, Dr. McAneny accepted a position as an Emergency Clinician with Upstate Veterinary Specialties.

Dr. McAneny is RECOVER CPR Certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support and is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. In her spare time, Tess enjoys hiking and paddleboarding.
