Angel Fund Story: Wally's ATV Accident

This is Wally, a 1.5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who, unfortunately, was involved in an ATV accident. Wally had a traumatic pneumothorax, a condition where air enters the space between the lung and chest wall, causing the lung to collapse, along with severe pulmonary contusions (lung bruising). Our team placed bilateral chest tubes to drain the air, allowing the lungs to re-expand and function properly—a life-saving procedure.
Wally required a two-day stay at our hospital and was discharged with a full recovery earlier this month. Wally’s emergency qualified for funding from our Angel Fund. Thanks to our community for supporting our Angel Fund. You helped save Wally’s life!
