2018 Continuing Education!

On October 20, Upstate Veterinary Specialties hosted its 2018 Fall Continuing Education Lecture Series at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Troy, NY. This great program provided New York State approved continuing education to our referral network. As experts in their respective fields, our staff presented on various industry topics and prepared their presentations through education, research, and professional experience.

Lectures in our doctor track included:

Ariana Verrilli, DVM, (practice limited to Oncology): Lymphoma Diagnostics and Subtypes: Past, Present, and Future

Max Bush, VMD, DACVS-SA: Confidence and Consistency During Abdominal Procedures

Sara Arnold, DVM, DACVIM (Internal Medicine): Immunosuppressive Therapy in the Internal Medicine Patient – A Case-Based Discussion

Ed Jazic, DVM, DACVD, Dermatology for Animals: Diagnosis and Treatment of Canine Pyoderma

Lectures in our technician track included:

Katie Bott, LVT Emergency Department: 12 Days of Triage

Taber Korosec, LVT Neurology Department: A Veterinary Technician’s Dogma to Assessing the Neurologic Patient

Agnieszka Kent, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology): Electrocardiography for the Veterinary Technician

Tom Heckel: LVT Surgery Department: Developing an Anesthetic Protocol

The PowerPoint presentations are available through Slide Share by visiting the UVS Continuing Education page.  Our staff truly enjoyed meeting, interacting with, and exchanging ideas with their colleagues. We are looking forward to the event again, next year!

We’d also like to take the time to thank our generous sponsors for the event. Without their contribution, we wouldn’t have able to host such a successful event. Thank you!
