Dr. Jenny Odell started her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant at Battenkill Veterinary. Jenny joined the surgery service at UVS as a veterinary assistant and also worked as an assistant with the Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic. She pursued her formal training at St. George’s University and obtained her DVM degree in 2015. During veterinary school she was actively involved in leadership positions including the St. George’s University Surgery Club, the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Student Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society. After graduation from veterinary school Jenny completed a year-long small animal rotating internship at Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists. Jenny’s special interest in surgery and rehabilitation first developed during several years of working as the surgical assistant at UVS and she looks forward rejoining the UVS team as a veterinarian.
In her spare time she enjoys the beach, traveling, hiking and spending time with her dogs.
