At Upstate Veterinary Specialties, members of our support staff are vital to the function of the hospital and the care of our patients. Staff members with professional training (Licensed Veterinary Technician, or LVT) are required to participate in continuing education lectures, seminars, and courses that pertain to their specialty so that they stay at the top of their field. Many of the staff members have received or are working toward certification as specialty veterinary technicians (VTS), a process similar to board certification for doctors. Without these valuable staff members, we would not be able to offer the advanced diagnostics and treatments that set us apart from other hospitals.
